Planning Applications April 2008

Four applications were considered this month.

P08/W0266 20 Poplar Close.  Conversion of garage replacing door with window.  The council supported this application.

P08/W0372/LB 16 Oxford Road.  Alterations to existing conservatory retaining existing footprint.  The council supported this application.  Listed building consent granted 19 May 2008.

P08/W0299 60 Elm Drive.  Remove old decking and rebuild at lower level.  It is apparent that the owner has already started to do this without waiting for planning permission and it appears that the rebuild is still not at an acceptably low level.  Council will support application but only if the level is sufficiently low.  Planning permission was granted 20 May 2008 although level doesn't appear to have been lowered.

P08/W0117 15 Southend.  Change of use of part of equestrian field to domestic garden.  Council opposed this application on the grounds of subtracting any land from the green belt.  Application has been resubmitted changing wording of application to read change of equestrian field to 'vegetable patch'
